Can I really send a text message using this service?
Absolutely! Not convinced? Text yourself with it!

How does this service remain free?
Ads, ads, and more ads! We are not asking/telling you to click on any of the ads. Just letting you know, that's how we keep it free. The more clicks we get, the longer we can keep it up.

How do I know I can text a 4, 5, or 6 digit number?
There are two ways. The first way, trust us! It's free anyway, what do you have to lose? If you don't want to trust us, then we hope you own a 4, 5, or 6 digit number. That's the only way you'll be able to see for yourself. Send a text to that number, and you should see it in your inbox. How do you know your cell phone really sends to a short number?

Why does it say "This message has been sent by SixDigitText.com" at the bottom of the text message to my friend?
To let your friend know about our wonderful service! That's our way of forcing word-of-mouth. Of course, you could always tell your friends how great it is, too!

How do I contact you to tell you the service is great/crappy/awesome/lame (or, if I have a problem)?
Send an email to admin@SixDigitText.com.

How do I let you know about the new features I'd like to see you add?
Send an email to admin@SixDigitText.com.

Why does it take a minute or two for the 4, 5, and 6 digit messages to go through?
If you send a non-standard text message (or choose Other for the carrier in the standard message), the message must route back here and be sent through our GSM modem. This is usually fast and can happen in a matter of seconds, but please allow up to 5 minutes for these types of messages to transmit.

Can I update my social networking account with this?
Unfortunately, no. They require the incoming number to be registered with the account. At this time, you cannot update your social networking accounts with this service. We're trying to get that eventually!

Well, this service is great and all, but what if I need to block my number from receiving these texts?
If you no longer wish to receive any texts from our service (even if your friends are trying to send them), just log into your account and block the number. You must create an account, log in, and go to the block page to block a number. You can block multiple numbers with a single account.
